Industrial Robot Coordination
The supervisory control of the RAMA Lab’s ABB IRB-140 robots is accomplished through Mathworks Matlab and Simulink Environments. All equipment present in the work cell can be controlled by using the custom Simulink Libraries. Developed in C++ and Java, these libraries interface the various vendor specific drivers to the Matlab environment.

MATLAB Libraries created to date control ABB WebWare Movement Blocks, ABB Position, Velocity, Force, Feedback, ABB Digital I/O Blocks, Cognex Read Commands, ATI Force Torque Sensors , and Strain Gage Data Conversions. These control blocks can be combined to create control tasks that can be executed systematically using the Stateflow toolbox for Matlab.

Stateflow programs can do simple tasks such as moving the robot and identifying objects.
